Happy 26th anniversary of getting your period.
Sorry about all the cramps.

Wow! I don't remember the exact date I had my menarche. I know that I was 12 years old, and I noticed a spot in my gym shorts when I was changing at the end of class and realized that I'd gotten my period. This year it will be 27 years since I got mine. I had to go to the nurse and get this giant thick pad to wear. It was so big you could have sailed to Cuba from the Florida Keys on it. My boobs hurt and my mom gave me chocolate when I got home.

I remember the exact date because it was 1. a month after my 11th birthday and 2. my mom was out of town.

My mother was out of town for mine, too.

You'd think I'd remember the date, other than the summer of 1985. It was not a pleasant memory and didn't resemble anything I'd read about. Pitocin induced contractions were easier than my cramps.

At least with contractions - even pitted-ones is that you usually get a break in between!

But Yeah - I have NO FEAR of labour pains. I've had cramps so bad I couldn't walk for 2-3 days at a time and a kidney infection that laid me out in a hospital bed for four days. NO FEAR OF LABOUR.

Yep. Not that it helped me much since I my body never got around to going into active labor by 42 weeks. The 16 hours of pitocin induced contractions I had with Trip were a cake walk in comparison because you do get a break and they don't make your body contort in agony so much you vomit.
